What is Povitica?
Povitica is a traditional Eastern European Dessert. Povitica has been a staple at many holiday and family gatherings for generations.

Is Povitica the same as Potica?
Yes. Povitica is the same as Potica. It varies depending on your heritage. Other common names for Povitica are
- Nutroll (Eastern European)
- Potica (Slovenian)

How large are your Povitica loaves?
Our Povitica weighs 2.5 lbs. Our Mini Loaves of Povitica weigh 1 lb.

How many servings can I get out of a loaf of Povitica?
You can get 20 servings per loaf. Serving size should be about 1/2" slice.

How long will the Povitica last?
Our Povitica will remain fresh at room temperature for 1 week and up to 2 weeks when refrigerated.

Can your Povitica be frozen?
Yes. We bake and ship our Povitica fresh all year long. Once your Povitica arrives it may be frozen. Please wrap your Povitica in an additional layer (for example foil, plastic wrap, or Ziploc) and freeze it no longer than three months. We also recommend not freezing any of our Povitica with cream cheese, as they tend to crumble when thawed.

What is the best way to slice the Povitica?
We recommend turning the loaf upside down and slicing with a sharp bread knife.

What shipping company do you use?
Your order will arrive via UPS. If you are shipping to a PO Box, Hawaii, Alaska or APO you may expect the order to arrive via United States Postal Service.

How do I track my order?
If we have your current email address on file you will receive an email from UPS the day your order ships. You can also contact us at 1-800-634-1002 and one of our customer service reps will be happy to track your order.

Is a signature required when delivering my gift?
Signatures are not required. For an additional $5 per package we can require a signature.

Do you ship to PO Boxes?
Yes, we do ship to PO Boxes. An additional $5 charge will apply.

Do you ship outside the United States?
No. We only ship domestically.

Do you ship to military addresses?
At this time we only ship to APO's. We do not ship to FPO's due to the lengthy transit time, as we can't guarantee the freshness of our product. In support of our troops we do not charge extra for shipments going to APO's.

Can I place my order now and have it ship at a later date?
Yes. Your Povitica will be baked fresh and delivered the week you select.

Is it possible for my gift to arrive on a specific day?
Yes. Please contact us at 1-800-634-1002 if you need your order to arrive on a certain date. We will try to accomodate all requests, but specific dates can only be guaranteed by using the expedited shipping methods.

What are your holiday cut-off dates?
All orders placed by the holiday cut-off date are guaranteed to arrive by their respective holidays. We cannot guarantee orders delayed due to acts of nature or incorrect address.

What if I can't remember my password (email)?
First confirm that your email address has not changed since your previous order. Click on "forgot password" and follow the process to reset your password. Please be sure to add bakers@povitica.com to your address book to ensure your emails from Strawberry Hill Povitica do not end up in your spam folder.

When should I place my order?
To request a specific delivery week, place your order at least 3 business days prior to the delivery week selected. Your Povitica will be baked fresh and shipped the week you requested delivery.

Should I add sales tax to my order?
Sales tax will only apply to orders delivered within the state of Kansas. The destination city tax rate will apply to those orders.

Is a gift message included with my order?
Yes. A brief message can be included with your order. You will be asked for your gift message during the ordering process.

Yes. If you place your order online and we have your current/accurate email address, you will receive an order confirmation.

Can I make a change to my order if it's already been placed?

How do I know my information is secure?
All personal and credit card information entered on your order is transmitted in an encrypted form for your safety. All transactions are kept secure when you use Microsoft Internet Explorer 8+ or any compatible Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) browser to order our products. These browsers automatically scramble personal information so it remains safe as it travels the Internet.
